Try our Prague Footgolf! Why play one sport when you can play two at the same time? Footgolf is a very 'addictive' sport and was formed as a combination of two classic games - football and golf, two of the most popular sports in the world. The beauty of the game lies in your being able to strategically combine power and precision every time you play footgolf. Of course, it is open to everyone, nevertheless 70% of people who have taken up the footgolf have been footballers. Footballers are well known for playing golf in their spare time, so perhaps it is no surprise that Footgolf has proved such a hit with those hailing from a footballing background.
The default factor for the formation of footgolf was Willem Korsten, a former Dutch professional footballer and his exercises after the trainings in Tottenham Hotspur where him and some other players tried to get the ball out of the pitch to the dressing room with the smallest possible number of kicks.
The footgolf game is played on golf courses with a soccer ball to the flag into the hole. The footgolf hole is different from the golf hole only in size (50-53 cm). The aim of a footgolf game is basically same as in golf - to get a soccer ball size 4 or 5 to a footgolf hole in as few kicks as possible using only your feet. Bear in mind that an average footgolfer can kick the ball around 50 yards. The difference between footgolf and golf is that a football will roll and bounce in myriad ways dependent on the topography of the course.
We will promote the dress code of any golf course and make this clear to all players. It is recommended that footgolfers wear a collared shirt and either plain shorts or trousers at all courses. As a sport, we promote the traditional golfing attire – long socks, long shorts, collared shirts, and a traditional golf hat. This type of garb is proving very popular among players, but we don't enforce this for regular play.
Please note that football boots and blades aren't permitted on footgolf courses - footgolfers are encouraged to wear trainers or astroturfs.
