Although this castle was built on the top of a hill, you will not see it until you come quite close. It was very well hidden as real treasures were deposited in the most beautiful chapel in the main tower. The castle was built to guard the crown jewellers of the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire.
Located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Prague above the village of the same name, it is one of the most famous and most frequently visited castles in the Czech Republic.
