Visit with us this former mining town which was once the richest town in Bohemia. Tour the old silver mines and mints and visit St. Barbara's Cathedral. It is the most spectacular gothic cathedral in the Czech Republic, a land noted for its Gothic cathedrals. It’s difficult to appreciate the splendour of the cathedral from close up, and impossible to capture it in a photograph. The intricacy of the flying buttresses, the unique tent-like sailing spires, and the marvellous cliff-top setting combine to make a visit to the cathedral an awe-inspiring experience.
We will also take you to a unique Church of All Saints in Sedlec near Kutna Hora. The ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people, whose bones have, in many cases, been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel. The ossuary is among the most visited tourist attractions of the Czech Republic - attracting over 200,000 visitors annually.
